Coney Island

my tio alex and tia anna from around the block are so cool. they always organize these crazy trips places, and this time we went to coney island to see a baseball game! it was my first game and we watched the brooklyn cyclones play.. someone else. they're a farm team for.... some other team. i don't know! i fell asleep half way thru! it was way past my bedtime. but i must have looked really cute cuz i got stopped 4 times by modelling agencies!

i know that it's been awhile, and my mama hasn't put up fotos in a long time. so much has happened! we went to maryland for my mama's friend kristen and ben's amazing wedding, we visited with my cousins ana and d'andre, we went to the gardens, two birthday parties, my granmama and granpapa came and visited for 2 weeks, and i even met my mama's swedish little sister, mia, who came all the way from sweden to see me! she's pretty too with lots of blonde curls. somewhere in there i got really sick and we were in the hospital for 5 days. i hated it, cuz they kept giving me these horrible chalky tasting gas to breathe. they said it would help me breathe, but really it just stank.

but right before i got sick i went to my friend yaz's birthday party; she turned one years old! it was on the roof of her apartment building, the same place we went and saw fireworks, and my papa picked me up so i could see all the rooftops and the city across the river. That's Yazu here, eating the toy. And Feyd's to the right of me, his mommy also didn't put him in swim trunks. In the foto above, Is-a-belle is behind me. We all had such a good time!!!

Last weekend, we went all the way down to some place called cheskapeak bay in maryland. and it was soo pretty! first tho i got to meet my cousins ana and d'andre! their mommy and daddy are ana and james and i got to meet my aunt mima! we had so much fun. we even stayed the night and then tia mima made tortillas and eggs for breakfast. the best!

then we went to the wedding. and just like last time, we were late. first i wanted to get my toys, and so i was crawling, crawling, and then i went head first off the bed. and then usually i like baths, but this one was differnt; the washcloth was rough, and the bottom of the tub was rough, it wasn't like home so i got scared and cried and cried and cried. so we barely made it to the ceremony before it started. but mommy combed my hair and even put aveda in it! here are some pictures i hope you'll like.

Yesterday was my first 4th of July ever! and we were going to have fun, no matter what, my mommy said. Even tho my papa had to run back for the plastic that goes over my stroller. I even had some of my mommy's tuna sandwich, which is soo much better than my stupid carrots. I even ate the green stuff in the sandwich! But best of all was that I got to see my friends Feyd and Isabelle. They're both younger than me but have more teeth. I wish I had more teeth so then I can bite down on my mommy! I've tried it with my two teeth, and then I giggle cuz mommy tries to squeeze me hard, but its more like a hug. Here's some pics of the day.

this is my favorite place to be.. as soon as i hear that water running, its like a bell, and i slap-slap-slap my way across the living room floor as fast as i can! and then pull my self up to see inside the shower. even if its just my mama or papa showering, its still fun. and i bounce up and down until they pick me up and let me in. i can't wait to learn how to swim!

oops forgot to tell you i met my bisabuela! she's so beautiful. i met her at my tia leo's house. and i got a rocking horse! my 'uelos got it for me. i can't wait to get it home cuz my mama's gonna paint it red. it was a great trip to texas. i met so many people. i'll show you more pictures soon.

today I learned to clap! my papa' was getting me ready for bed and we were in the bathroom washing up. and then my papa turned on the water cuz i love the water and i just started clapping! my mama ran in from the kitchen and started clapping and laughing too. and so i did it again and again and again! it was great cuz i'm allowed to stay up later now - papa says its something called summer hours. i can stay out til real late.

Finally! Our Trip to the Gardens!

today is friday and i am home with my favorite nanny, belen. belen is wonderful - she took me to the library today over on eckford for story time, and then we went to mamalu's! its my favorite cafe, cuz i can screech real loud and everybody's happy and pretty.
i meet all my friends there. there's redding - she's really tall, wild, and likes to pull my hair.
there's yazmin, who is teeny and has lots of hair like me, she's just starting to really get active and show off her personality. there's maggie - she's kinda quiet and likes to watch everything around her, and then there's sophia.. my muse. mmm, she's captivating, and born just 3 days before me. we play toys all day together when her mommy used to watch me.
but i can't wait because my mama is coming home early today and we're going into the city for a birthday party in the l.e.s and then we're going over to my ninang and padrino's house! they live in prospect heights and they LOVE me. everytime i go over there, they hug me and kiss me. especially my padrino, cesar, he loves to hold me.
we went to the brooklyn botanical gardens this past weekend - below are the pictures, you can see what a good time we had!
